This Saturday night, January 13, at 10:30 PM on Channel 34 (Manhattan
Neighborhood Network), tune into a special edition of "The Battle for
Progressive Media".

John Riley interviews author Chip Smith and researcher Juliet Ucelli on their new book, "The Cost of Privilege: Taking on the System of White Supremacy and Racism." Smith and Ucelli discuss the material, political and moral costs of the system of white supremacy in the US historically, right up to the present day. Chip Smith and Juliet Ucelli examine how since the 1960s, consciousness of the existence of racism has declined, while actual disparities have grown larger and the need to fight racism and white privilege in order to reinvigorate the social justice movement and the struggle to build a just socialist system in the US.
